Your work at the Institute tends to get... monotonous. Who's to blame you for slipping away to explore, for once? The halls of Artefact Storage have always intrigued you, and while you've get to gain access inside, at least the department's computer guide is there to give you a glimpse of what lies within.

Tread carefully, though. You know less about this place than you thought you did, and if you're not careful, that could prove to be your downfall.

WARNING: Minor jumpscare at the end!

WARNING: Game may be cursed.

Love the creepy feeling! sometime its hard for making player scared and in this game I get nervous by just play few min, everything is just fit.

Really loved the green text, black background, ascii art, and the sound - really made me feel like I was laboriously typing out things on an old computer from the 90s in some archive. Put me on edge until I was caught - and that was a good, sudden jump. Great stuff with setting tension and ratcheting things to a jumpscare.

The visuals are very cool with the green text and images. I felt that the sound was getting louder and then got jumpscared, which I was not expecting from a text-based game. Very mysterious, very cool.

The sound design really added to the feeling of like an old computer from the 90s or something you'd see in the matrix or something.

The style is on point with the green and black text. Also the asci(?) pictures add a lot to the aesthetic as well. I also got spooked by the ending even though I was warned in the description too.

The tone and mood of the game is immediately present with your itch page as well as the game's interface, text, font, color, and audio effects. Usage of red at the end is really apparent and really shows that something has GONE WRONG.

Love the images for each artefact we look at, and the choice of font and color really makes it seem that we are looking at things we aren't supposed to be looking at.

Reminds me a lot of the SCP franchise with the catalogue and the occultish aspect of the objects!

I like the idea and the music and the color and style of the text immersed me, like a hacker's computer in a movie.

this is gorgeous!!! everything feels like it perfectly belongs-- from the sound, to the text style, to the interaction. it's very immersive and feels professional!!

Like everyone else I thought I broke the game at the end haha. Really enjoyed the aesthetic and the story behind each object. I wasn’t able to register an item, but I think that was purposeful? I played twice and it felt like I was caught by security much faster than I was the second time around so I wonder if it is a randomized timer.

I love this concept! It's like exploring a world through only a few objects.  I think it would be hella cool if the player could maybe add artefacts to make an even bigger log!

I was trying to add objects for a good 30 seconds before I realized I was just meant to be exploring first. I loved the world? Building of all the different objects, they're all familiar but in this space there's something strange about them. I really liked your art style and how similar it looks to Fallout computer terminals.

The "register item" function was originally part of the game, but I didn't have time to work it out (it involved decoding a cipher hidden in the catalogue and inputting that as a password to unlock the feature). Maybe if I return to this sometime I'll see how I could get that to happen.

I was thinking this game reminded me of SCP or ARGS, then I saw it was inspired by the Magnus Archives at the end! Love the concept and aesthetic. Is the ending set to a timer or is it dependent on how many times you click the options?

Definitely agree with the SCP-esque feeling, especially with the warnings on each object (don't view the Painting alone, etc). This + the end screen really gives off a "ah crap, low level employees like me should NOT be here right now" kind of feeling

It's set to how many times you visit the various pages ^^ it lets you poke around a bit extra before booting you (10 separate item page visits)

This game is mainly GetKeyDown and SceneManager.LoadScene functions.

The game shows you a bunch of catalog items and it’s really cool to be able to read information about each one. The ending caught me off guard, i thought i broke the game haha

the ambiance of this game is awesome. the ending with this sort of glitching sound sent chills down my spine and I found myself trying to unlock [2] throughout my play through. I didn’t manage to get it but I wonder if it’s intentionally left greyed out or if it can really be unlocked.

Game had a really crappy sound with its story, every item’s name sound normal but the description sounds very weird and creepy. And I really like the UI, really well designed.

This game is really visually interesting! I’ve never listened to The Magnus Archives, but I am familiar with this sort of genre of containment of anomalous objects through the SCP wiki. It did feel very SCP-esque to me! I liked how there was some implied horror elements of things that could go wrong by interacting with these objects, and I also liked how the objects sort of had some interaction with each other. The 3D-ish images in the background were also awesome. Great work!
